BYU Public Health is looking for a dynamic individual to join our publicity team. As a member of the publicity team you will have the opportunity to conduct interviews with various faculty, staff, students, and alumni to write engaging news articles for our website and yearly magazine publication. You will help with creating social media posts in static, real, and video formats. You will also help with recording and editing episodes for our podcast Y-Health. This position will gain experience across all aspects of marketing, ranging from social media management and digital ads to video/audio creation and editing to content strategy. This is a 10-20 hours per week position and the hours are flexible.

Qualifications:
- A willingness to cheerfully do what is asked as well as taking the initiative to complete understood tasks efficiently without being asked.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be sensitive to issues of confidentiality.
- Proactive in seeking out new stories for publication.
- Proficiency in Outlook and Word
- Well-organized and attention to detail. Ability to learn quickly, perform under pressure adn prioritize tasks.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, including use of proper grammar and punctuation.
- Experience in social media content creation and management, design, writing, web development, video and sound editing preferred.
- Experience with Adobe products is a plus
- Punctual to schdule shift. It is anticipated that the student will work 10-20 hours per week (potentially up to 40 hr/week during Spring/Summer Terms).
Qualifications that will make you look particularly awesome but not necessarily required
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with Adobe Audition
- Public Health major or knowledge of public health
- Graphic Design: have working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite to assit in generating appealing content for social media.
