Paid: $15/hour
Hybrid Remote/Office: Most of the internship responsibilities can be performed remotely, though there may be some meetings, trainings, or marketing events that take place in person. (If a candidate does not live within driving distance of the CHOICE Humanitarian offices in West Jordan, UT, the internship can be fully remote.)
Hours: 20 hours/week. Flexible (but consistent) schedule. The most important thing is getting the work done on time and being in close communication with the Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications.
Length: 3-4 months (standard semester length)

What You’ll Do
The Strategic Engagement & Communications Intern will support the Director of Strategic Engagement & Communications in marketing campaigns, initiatives, tasks, and responsibilities. The goal of CHOICE’s communications is three-fold: educate our audiences on the challenges and solutions to rural poverty, inspire them with stories of hope and resilience from our communities, and activate them to donate, advocate, share, partner, volunteer, and more. In this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience for a career in marketing while you work alongside passionate global changemakers to make a real difference. This just might be the best internship ever.
The Strategic Engagement & Communications Intern will:
• Support the Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications in marketing, communications, and engagement efforts.
• Coordinate the creation, execution, and deployment of assets, resources, and technology to leverage communication channels: social media, email newsletters, video, website, blog, etc.
• Gather content from various sources (country teams, partners, expeditioners, etc.), write content, and utilize content on CHOICE’S communication platforms to educate, inspire, and activate.
• Work with the Director of Strategic Engagement and Communications to develop, implement, and evaluate
marketing plans, strategies, and tactics that expand reach and awareness, grow our audiences, and increase
donations for CHOICE.
• Assist in day-to-day activities associated with strategic engagement and communications, including administrative tasks and support for other departments.
• Assist in improving internal communications with local and global staff members which may include process development, technology adoption and training, etc.
