CLOSED Paid Intern - Awareness and Coordination Communications

We are currently hiring an part time paid intern for September - December. This paid internship is for a four-month period, 20-25 hours a week. The position is located at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, UT, and interns must be able to come into the office on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

This internship supports the Church’s Awareness and Coordination Team. The intern will assist with messaging alignment, communication planning and execution, presentation preparation, reporting/analytics, campaign tracking for global Church audiences. The role involves collaborating with communication managers and departments offices to ensure that messages are unified, clear, and inspired.

Assignments may include:

  • Drafting communication plans and messaging briefs
  • Supporting the rollout of global campaigns
  • Tracking awareness coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Creating materials for internal and external audiences
  • Analyzing campaign performance and identifying ways to improve

A background or interest in communication strategy, marketing, writing, project management, or organizational communication is a plus.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or have finished a degree within a year of starting the internship.

While we are open to all majors, we are particularly looking for those studying communications, public relations, marketing, media strategy, or other related fields. Additional desired qualifications include:

  • Sound understanding of Church doctrine and a love of the gospel of Jesus Christ
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Creative and strategic thinking
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professionalism and the ability to work well with a variety of people

Online Learning Technical Writing Internship

The Online Learning Technical Writing Intern plays a vital role in assisting users of online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway religion courses. Support is provided through email, support tickets, and occasional virtual conference calls. The intern also contributes to writing, revising, and proofreading communications sent to Seminary and Institute employees worldwide. Additionally, they help develop and proofread technical resources for both internal and external audiences. The intern supports various projects assigned by the Course Support Coordinator.
