
Make-A-Wish® Utah has a couple of internship openings for this fall. They are looking for a Development Intern to gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, relationship building, donor research and portfolio management. They are also seeking a Marking/Communications Intern to work on writing, PR and other major projects in a fun team environment.

Marketing/Communications Internship
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Communications intern will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining social media channels for the organization
- Edit and update website
- Compose press releases and PSAs
- Research and write stories about wishes
- Assist with media campaigns for various promotions & fundraisers
- Manage media lists and community calendars
- Provide photography and videography support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- Basic knowledge of design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, etc.), or willingness and aptitude for learning new programs

HOURS

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Development team, the development intern will have the following responsibilities:
- Support the team with fundraising activities including donor research, organizing meeting materials and preparing stewardship pieces.
- Assist with the planning of donor cultivation events.
- Maintain up-to-date development documents.
- Record contact reports in database.
- File documents, organize supplies and perform any other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- Basic knowledge of design software, or willingness and aptitude for learning new programs
