We are seeking a talented and motivated Grant Writer Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and a passion for securing funding for non-profit organizations. The intern will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Write compelling grant proposals that meet the requirements of funders
- Work collaboratively with program staff to develop program budgets and program descriptions
- Participate in team meetings and discussions about grant proposals and other development activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant proposals, deadlines, and outcomes
- Assist with the development and implementation of other fundraising activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Nonprofit Management, Communications, English, or a related field)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize information from a variety of sources
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with grant writing or fundraising is preferred, but not required
