CLOSED FamilySearch Marketing/Communications Internship

FamilySearch is expanding messaging to diverse audiences and needs a strong communicator to help shape the new strategy. You will develop and execute communication and marketing plans for patrons worldwide to discover, gather, connect, and unite their families. This intern will be responsible for assisting in marketing and project management tasks, including writing presentations and project proposals, tracking results, and working independently as well as a team on other projects and tasks. The ideal candidate should be creative, solution-oriented, data-driven and have excellent communication skills. The length of the internship will be one year.

Responsibilities

· Maintain a big-picture understanding of FamilySearch communication strategies and channels, for both external and internal audiences

  • Work closely with various teams to develop and execute communication plans
  • Assist in writing project plans for marketing initiatives and activities
  • Assist with project management tasks, including tracking timelines and deadlines
  • Work with team members to draft presentations and marketing concepts
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions and ideation
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Currently or recently enrolled in a college or university program

  • Any major is welcome to apply, but candidates with a focus on marketing, project management, social entrepreneurship, or business are particularly encouraged to apply
  • Strong desire to help with expanding engagement in Family History work
  • Adept at project management and process-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic

Online Learning Technical Writing Internship

The Online Learning Technical Writing Intern plays a vital role in assisting users of online Seminary, Institute, and BYU Pathway religion courses. Support is provided through email, support tickets, and occasional virtual conference calls. The intern also contributes to writing, revising, and proofreading communications sent to Seminary and Institute employees worldwide. Additionally, they help develop and proofread technical resources for both internal and external audiences. The intern supports various projects assigned by the Course Support Coordinator.
