The Refuge Utah is looking for an Education Outreach Intern to work approximately 10-20 hours per week on-site in Orem, Utah
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Help coordinate and facilitate the educational prevention presentations alongside the prevention coordinator
● Help maintain and initiate relationships with schools, universities, and community groups for implementation of prevention curriculum
● Manage and create content for the prevention team’s social media platforms, translating prevention concepts into engaging, youth-centered posts, videos, and campaigns.
● Reach out to partners in the community about collaboration opportunities to develop messaging that promotes healthy masculinity, consent, and respectful relationships.
● Carry out research and help to refine prevention education
● Help with events and booths
● Perform other office projects
Qualifications
● Can begin work as an intern for the Fall 2026 semester (typically September through December).
● Can pass a background check and fingerprinting assessment.
● Experience with social media campaigns or video creation (preferred)
