Each summer the Utah Lake Commission Public Outreach team takes on a Outreach and Events intern to assist the Outreach Coordinator with events and public outreach. This is a paid position ($10/hour) at 25-35 hours a week. Start time is typically mid April.
The following are some of the potential duties of this position:
Management of social media accounts for Utah Lake
Assist with blog posts, a monthly newsletter, and other written publications
Oversee and grow the Utah Lake “Adopt-a-Shoreline” program
Coordinate with volunteers for various projects around the lake
Assist with planning Utah Lake Commission events (Utah Lake Scavenger Hunt, etc.)
Assist with general office duties
*PREFERRED: College student working towards a degree in Recreation Management, Communications, Marketing, Events or something similar.
