Job Description: The communications assistant produces and distributes internal communications and branding material, including the following: a weekly newsletter for faculty and staff, a weekly newsletter for students, digital signage and displays, faculty and student features, and social media content. The communications assistant serves as the lead editor for the newsletter. In addition, the communications assistant may help coordinate college events as needed and order branded promotional material such as T-shirts and pins. This position may include occasional office duties.
Shift: 10-20 hours/week, flexible shifts
Desired Start Date: As soon as possible (or January 6, 2020)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and timely
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with MailChimp is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
