Become a Superhero-In-Training

The Communities and Knowledge Base (KB) team oversees a customer-facing portal and writes and manages the company’s Knowledge Base. Knowledge-centric support allows both support engineers and customers to quickly find answers to common challenges, leading to faster resolution and higher productivity. Communities provide the channel through which customers, employees and partners can network with other users, learn the latest company news, and get answers and advice regarding Proofpoint Products.

As an intern on the KB team, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Help manage the workflow and ownership of knowledge base content
  • Review and tag existing Knowledge base articles to ensure it remains accurate and up to date
  • Identify future knowledge articles by evaluating support cases
  • Follow a style guide to edit and standardize material prepared by subject matter experts for consistent language, terminology, and style
  • Contribute to projects that improve the user experience, provide opportunities for customer self-service, and engineer effectiveness

Your Current Super-Skills

  • Working toward a BA or BS degree in English, technical communication, or another writing-intensive field
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proofreading and editing experience with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask short-term and long-term goals and objectives
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning new technologies and viewing challenges as opportunities for creative solutions
  • Demonstrate initiative and productivity with minimal supervision

Your Superhero Profile

You have the ability and interest in working full time (40 hours/week) onsite in our Draper office. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (2019 new college grads also eligible), and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher. This summer internship is scheduled to run for 15 weeks from May – August 2019.
